Critical Thinking and Effective Personality in the Framework of Education for Sustainable Development

According to UNESCO, critical thinking (CT) is a strategic skill for the 21st century, as it associated with attitudes of personal and social change improvement. Based on this, objectives this study were (1) find out possible relationships between CT effective personality (EP) (2) determine extent which EP predicts development in children adolescents. The research approach was quantitative, correlational predictive. sample consisted 562 Spanish students. measurement instruments were: Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory Efficacy Personality Questionnaire. main findings showed that there positive relationship CT, traits “being enthusiastic”, “developing self-esteem” “having self-confidence” correlating most strongly CT. regression analysis shows influences students’ There no significant differences according sex, Primary Education students obtained higher scores.
